Installation Guides
Each Pro Mount is precision-made, fitted with 3M™ Primer 94 and 3M™ VHB™ 4991F. For the best hold and long-term reliability, follow the steps below.
Step 1 — Test fit
- Position the mount on the helmet before removing the liner.
- Ensure it sits flush with the chin area.
- Attach your camera briefly to check angle and level.
Note: Don’t peel the adhesive liner in this step, use product page as reference.
Step 2 — Clean the surface
- Use the included alcohol wipes to remove dust, grease and wax.
- Let the area fully dry.
Step 3 — Warm the surfaces
- Peel back the red liner.
- Gently warm both the adhesive pad and helmet surface with a hair dryer for 5–10 seconds (warm, not hot).
- Light heating helps activate VHB for maximum bond.
Step 4 — Apply & press
- Align carefully and apply the mount.
- Press firmly and evenly across the whole surface for 60 seconds.
- If a small edge lifts, re-warm lightly and press again until flush.
Step 5 — Cure time
- Allow to cure 24 hours before use.
- If you didn’t apply heat, allow 72 hours.
- Do not attach the camera during the cure period.
Step 6 — Safety Tether
- Clean, dry and lightly warm the spot on the helmet.
- Apply the tether base, then loop the cord through the camera housing or thumbscrew.
Step 7 — Final check
- After curing, attach your camera and test over a soft surface.
- Confirm the mount feels solid and edges are fully seated.

Each Pro Mount Flexy Mount is designed to conform to a wide range of surfaces while providing a strong, secure adhesive bond. For the best hold and long-term reliability, follow the steps below.
Step 1 — Test fit
- Position the Flexy Mount on the surface before removing the adhesive liner.
- Gently form the mount to match the shape and curvature of the surface.
- Check your desired camera position and angle before installation.
Note: Do not remove the adhesive liner until you are happy with the position.
Step 2 — Clean the surface
- Use the included alcohol wipe to remove dust, grease, wax and other contaminants.
- Allow the surface to fully dry before installation.
Step 3 — Apply the mount
- Remove the adhesive backing, taking care not to touch the adhesive surface.
- Carefully position the Flexy Mount and press it into place.
- Ensure the mount follows the surface closely with no significant gaps or lifted areas.
Step 4 — Apply pressure
- Press firmly and evenly across the entire mount for at least 30 seconds.
- Pay particular attention to the edges and curved areas to ensure the adhesive has made full contact with the surface.
Step 5 — Cure time
- Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 24 hours before use, or 72 hours if you didn't heat the mount.
- Do not attach a camera or place load on the mount during the cure period.
Important — One-time adhesive
The adhesive pad is designed for one-time application only.
Do not remove and attempt to reposition or reapply the mount once it has been bonded to a surface. Removing the mount can compromise the adhesive and it should not be relied upon for subsequent use.
Step 7 — Safety Tether
- Clean, dry and lightly warm the spot on the surface.
- Apply the tether base, then loop the cord through the camera housing or thumbscrew.
Step 6 — Final check
- After the curing period, check that the entire mount is firmly bonded and that no edges have lifted.
- Attach your camera and test the mount over a soft surface before use.
- Check the mount and adhesive regularly, particularly before high-speed or high-impact activities.

Your Pro Mount replacement adhesive kit allows you to prepare and reapply your mount using fresh 3M™ VHB™ tape and Adhesive Promoter Primer. For the best hold and long-term reliability, follow the steps below.
Step 1 — Remove the old adhesive
- Gently warm the existing adhesive using a hair dryer to soften the bond.
- Carefully peel the old adhesive away from the mount.
- Avoid using excessive heat or sharp tools that could damage the mount.
Step 2 — Clean the mount
- Thoroughly clean the adhesive surface of the mount using the included alcohol wipes, ensuring all traces of the old adhesive and primer are removed.
- The surface should be clean, dry and free from grease or residue before continuing.
Step 3 — Apply the primer
- Using the included Adhesive Promoter Primer wipe, apply a thin, even coat to the area of the mount that will contact the adhesive.
- Allow the first coat to fully dry.
Note: Apply the primer to the mount only, not the helmet surface.
Step 4 — Allow the primer to dry
- Do not apply the tape while the primer is still wet.
Step 5 — Apply the new VHB tape
- Carefully align the supplied 3M™ VHB™ tape with the mount.
- Apply the tape without touching the adhesive surface unnecessarily.
- Press firmly and evenly for 60 seconds, ensuring the entire pad has made good contact with the mount.
- Then carefully cut off the excess tape from the mount.
Step 6 — Install the mount
Once the replacement adhesive has been fitted, the mount can be installed onto your helmet following the normal Pro Mount installation procedure.
- Test-fit the mount before removing the outer adhesive liner.
- Clean and fully dry the helmet surface.
- Gently warm the adhesive and helmet surface before application.
- Position carefully and press firmly and evenly for 60 seconds.
Step 7 — Cure time
- Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 24 hours before use.
- If installed without gently warming the surfaces, allow 72 hours.
- Do not attach your camera during the curing period.
Step 8 — Final check
- Once cured, check that the mount is firmly bonded and all edges are fully seated.
- Attach your camera and test the installation over a soft surface before use.
- Always use your safety tether when riding.
