Pro Mounts UK Installation Guide
Each Pro Mount is precision-made, fitted with 3M™ Primer 94 and 3M™ VHB™ 4991F. For the best hold and long-term reliability, follow the steps below.
Step 1 — Test fit
- Position the mount on the helmet before removing the liner.
- Ensure it sits flush with the chin area.
- Attach your camera briefly to check angle and level.
Note: Don’t peel the adhesive liner in this step, use product page as reference.
Step 2 — Clean the surface
- Use the included alcohol wipes to remove dust, grease and wax.
- Let the area fully dry.
Step 3 — Warm the adhesive
- Peel back the red liner.
- Gently warm both the adhesive pad and helmet surface with a hair dryer for 5–10 seconds (warm, not hot).
- Light heating helps activate VHB for maximum bond.
Step 4 — Apply & press
- Align carefully and apply the mount.
- Press firmly and evenly across the whole surface for 60 seconds.
- If a small edge lifts, re-warm lightly and press again until flush.
Step 5 — Cure time
- Allow to cure 24 hours before use.
- If you didn’t apply heat, allow 72 hours.
- Do not attach the camera during the cure period.
Step 6 — Safety Tether
- Clean, dry and lightly warm the spot on the helmet.
- Apply the tether base, then loop the cord through the camera housing or thumbscrew.
Step 7 — Final check
- After curing, attach your camera and test over a soft surface.
- Confirm the mount feels solid and edges are fully seated.
Aftercare & tips
- We strongly recommend only using official PMUK mount attachments to ensure secure fitment of your camera in the mount.
- Avoid installing below 15 °C; warmer conditions improve adhesion.
- Check the mount and hardware before each ride.
- If replacing a mount, remove all old tape and residue first.
- For hardware (clip, extensions, bolt, hand screw), see the PMUK Base Pack.
